Here’s better pics of my new Arsenal Inc. Saiga 7.62x39mm carbine. This was a fun day with my girlfriend. We drove 2 hours to a gun show in Goldsboro. She bought me a throwing knife and push dagger while we were there. Days like that I will remember forever.

The original maker of the AK-47, International Kalashnikov Saiga, sold the company to Arsenal Inc. A ban on AK-47s caused this design to come about. The slight modification to the trigger action and magazine feed allowed this gun to be legal for import even through the ban. Now that the ban is lifted federally, some states (such as New York) continue the ban, so Arsenal continues to make and import this rifle to the US.

I bought mine in a state that legally allows the sell of the original (semi-auto of course) AK-47, but I chose to buy this one. I got it because it is the only Arsenal Inc. gun I can find designed like the AK-47 for sell in North Carolina. I could have gotten an AK surplused from the military or a reproduction made by another country like Yugoslavia or China. But I wanted the closest thing I can get to the original Russian-made Kalashnikov AK-47. This is it.

Plus if I want to make it a legit AK, it’s only a $100 modification to the trigger action (which I will be doing in about 2 or 3 weeks, stay tune for pics if you care). The post-ban trigger is made to pull a lever that releases the pin, instead of just releasing the pin. This makes a heavier trigger pull, reducing the tactical ease of firing the weapon. The magazine feed was already modified back to original AK-47 configuration to accept standard AK magazines.

Ok so I’m not trying to be a party pooper….but I’ve been thinking about and researching some things about this Kennedy and Lincoln thing that everyone is freaking out about…and seriously…so much of it isn’t true….like at all..and I’m angry I didn’t notice it at first.
And most of the coincidences are like….such a stretch..and I even like conspiracies…
So sorry I had to make this….I’m a history nerd

1. (A) chambered in .308 for maximum range while still effective for semi-close quarters urban combat. I would say C but I don’t know where to get grenades at for a grenade launcher during a zombie apocalypse. I really like bipods on rifles for shooting at distances of +75 yards.

2. (C) chambered in .22 magnum if possible. If not, .22lr. I can stock up on cheap bulk ammo. Besides, with the low penetration power of all of those weapons (except the crossbow), I would expect the only way to kill a zombie is with a head shot. You know, take out the brains. If that’s the case, I want my secondary weapon to have basically an endless supply of ammunition. .22mag is cheap and easy to find. .22lr is even better but I’m counting on more skull penetration from the magnum. The crossbow would be cool, but contrary to popular belief, arrows derive their killing power from proper shot placement and bleeding out. Having said that, since zombies don’t really need blood to live, that doesn’t help much, a headshot would be necessary. With the primary range of a crossbow being typically long, I wouldn’t need it since I already have an AR in .308. I would need my secondary weapon to be more suited for close quarters fighting.

3. (D) But I would need it to be sharper than your typical machete. I love my katana to death but I’m not trained with it so I won’t put my life on it. I love the chainsaw, but all of the fuel I find in an apocalypse is going to my vehicle.

4. (B) I would like to have all of these items and knowing me, I’ll gather them. Binoculars aren’t that crucial since I have a scope on my AR. Entering the apocalypse though, I need light in the dark.

5. (A) With a nice grill guard or brush guard. That way I can just run zombies over. I would like something more fuel efficient though. The tank would be nice since it’s armored but I don’t think I can find tank fuel in the apocalypse.

6. (B) Jason Statham would drive my Hummer….cus that’s what he does; drive things. Terry Crews would be that nigga but he is a family man now and repopulating the Earth would be fun until Olivia Wilde gets fat and prego
